Micah Hines, of Victoria Avenue in Wembley, was charged yesterday (October 5), with the murder of Hamza Iqbal and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 20-year-old appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (October 6) and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (October 10).
Police cordons were in place in Olympic Way for days after Hamza was fatally stabbed on September 24 just after 11pm.
The victim, who was from Brent, was allegedly chased before being attacked by a group of people.
Officers gave Hamza CPR at the scene and he was treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
A post-mortem examination on September 27 gave a preliminary cause of death as sharp force trauma to the chest.
Joshua Oladele, 19, of Wyld Way, Wembley, was previously charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Another man, 19, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been bailed pending further enquiries in December.
Two women, 19 and 29, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have been bailed pending further enquiries to dates in December.
A section of Olympic Way was cordoned off for at least four days last week, with restricted access to the front of Novotel and the Costa shut completely.
The public were diverted around the path to the stadium, and instead had to walk through the Stadium Retail Park to be able to continue walking to Boxpark, the stadium and the London Designer Outlet.
