Talk show host Graham Norton seems to have deleted his Twitter account, leaving many loyal fans saddened.

It comes as fans spotted the deleted account on Monday (October 17) with the host’s profile @grahnort only sharing “this account doesn’t exist.”

Following the sad news, Norton’s name quickly began to trend across Twitter with fans questioning what had led him to delete the account.

Seeing the hashtag ‘I stand with Graham Norton’ trend across the social media platform.

Some speculate that the host deleted the account following some backlash in regard to his comments on cancel culture as he described the culture as more about ‘accountability.’

It comes after Norton was praised for his interview with Times Radio, where he was quizzed on author JK Rowling’s views on the transgender community.

In the interview, Norton suggested that the author should speak to trans people who experience such matters.

He quickly received an outpour of support for his remarks as some described him as ‘one of the good guys.’

Rowling did later respond to Norton’s comments, saying: “Very much enjoying the recent spate of bearded men stepping confidently onto their soapboxes to define what a woman is and throw their support behind rape and death threats to those who dare disagree. You may mock, but takes real bravery to come out as an Old Testament prophet.”

Many, disagreed with Norton’s comments and seemed to troll his profile, leading him to delete the account.
