Essex and Buckinghamshire are the latest authorities refusing to allow warning signs and cameras to be placed on their land, according to the BBC.
Boarding Hertfordshire County Council has also expressed their disapproval towards the mayor’s expansion plans.
Now the mayor’s office has said that they are “working closely” with the councils to install the needed infrastructure.

Home Counties refuse Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ Expansion
It comes as Mayor Khan prepares to expand the ULEZ seeing non-compliant vehicles pay £12.50 a day to drive in the zone.
The expansion will see all of Greater London covered in a bid to improve air quality from the end of August.
Boarding councils that are impacted by the expansion have continued to block the plans, with Surrey and Kent county councils blocking ULEZ signage.
Whilst in London, the boroughs of Bexley, Bromely, Hillingdon and Harrow are working to stop the expansion.

They wrote in an open letter to the Mayor sharing that they must very carefully consider “the adverse impacts it will have on residents and businesses, and we believe that you have failed to give sufficient weight to this.”
However, despite the objections from the regions, Khan and Transport for London (TfL) still have the power to enforce ULEZ signs and cameras using ‘direct installation powers’.
