Tehran has threatened to confiscate the assets of Iranian nationals living abroad who assist or support the United States and Israel in their war with Iran.

“A warning has been issued to those Iranians living abroad who in different ways sympathise, support, or cooperate with the American-Zionist enemy,” said the prosecutor general’s office, according to state media. “They will be met with the confiscation of all their properties and other legal penalties in accordance with the law.”

The office reportedly referenced a law which approves the seizure of assets belonging to individuals who cooperate with “hostile” governments or groups that don’t align with Iran’s security interests.
