The children’s programme went on to treat us to not just one Christmas story read by Hardy.
The 44-year-old will be reading An Odd Dog Christmas by the author Rob Biddulph on Christmas Eve.
We’re then getting a second gift with Hardy reading a second story – the Christmas Pine by Julia Donaldson and Victoria Sandoey.
This is not the first time that Hardy has read one of Biddulph’s books either.
Alongside a clip of the actor’s reading of Biddulph’s original story “Odd Dog Out”, the author celebrated his return on Twitter.

He wrote on the platform: “EXCITING NEWS! My newest book, An Odd Dog Christmas, is going to be this year’s Christmas Eve Bedtime Story on CBeebies! What an honour! And it will be read by none other than… TOM HARDY! I know! Amazing, right?”
