Just after 9.30pm yesterday (November 2), Hackney Police said that they were aware of an “electricity outage” at New Era Estate.
Hackney Council has since confirmed that around 800 homes in and around Orsman Road were affected by issues with their electricity supply.
The authority said that UK Power Networks had restored electricity to homes at around 11.15pm.
We are aware of an incident in the New Era Estate, Whitmore Rd, N1.
There is an electricity outage, and the local council have been informed.

A council spokesperson said: “While the outage was dealt with by UK Power Networks, council emergency planning officers visited people living in the affected area to check on their welfare.
“Anyone suffering a power cut can report it by calling the freephone 105 number which will connect them directly to their local supplier.
“We would also encourage anyone needing extra help to sign up for the UK Power Networks Priority Services Register to get additional support in the event of a power cut.”
