Israeli strikes hit hospital, residential buildings in northern Gaza

A shell hit the second floor of a hospital in northern Gaza, killing at least 12 people, according to the Hamas-led Health Ministry and a medical worker, as Israeli troops focus on clearing medical facilities where they say Hamas militants take cover. Meanwhile recent air strikes have leveled dozens of residential buildings as Israeli forces step up attacks north of the Gaza Strip.
