Barnet have bolstered their squad with three new signings as they try and arrest their poor form from the start of the season.
The Bees currently sit second bottom in the National League table, eight points behind 20th place Yeovil Town, but have made moves to try and lift them up the table.
Ben Richards-Everton was the first to sign for Tim Flowers’ side after his contract with Bradford City was terminated.
The 29-year-old centre-back made close to 100 football league appearances between spells with the Bantams and Accrington Stanley and has signed a contract with Barnet which will run until at least the end of the 2022-23 season, with an option of a further year included in the deal.
Richards-Everton said he was now focused on helping Barnet climb into a better position in the table.
“I’m happy to get it finally done, it’s over the line, and I’m looking forward to trying to help the team get back to where they need to be in the league table,” he said in an interview for the club website. “I’ve got experience in the league previously, obviously I’ve been in League One and Two mainly, but I have played in the Conference and Conference North as well and hopefully I can use my experience to bring some more confidence into the defence.
“I can’t wait to get started. We’ve got a few games in hand, I’ve looked at the table it’s a difficult league but I’m confident we’ll start climbing the table.”
Richards-Everton is joined in defence by two other new arrivals in the shape of Themis Kefalas and Liam Daly.
Daly has signed from National League North side Gloucester City and has previously worked under Bees’ boss Tim Flowers at Solihull Moors.
Speaking after his arrival, he told the club website he was looking forward to working with his former boss once again.
“Once I got the phone call and heard there was a bit of interest, I was obviously very excited to get the deal done,” he said.
“I’m over the moon that it’s finally over the line and I just can’t wait to get going.”
Kefalas meanwhile has arrived on loan from Queens Park Rangers, initially until February 28, with a conditional option to extend the deal until the end of the season.
